Harold David Wilson

Funeral services for Mr. Harold David Wilson will be private and under the direction of George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken. Mr. Wilson, 88, of Wagener, died Thursday at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center in Aiken. The son of the late William Warner and Martha Schmidt Wilson, he was born in Woodstock, IL and had lived in Wagener for 24 years. He spent his career as a die cast engineering consultant and retired from General Electric in Florence, SC in 1978. Wilson was a 1937 graduate of the University of Texas. He is survived by his wife Lucile Vahrenkamp Wilson of Wagener; two sons, Ken Wilson of Leesville, SC and Bill Wilson of Williamsport, PA; a daughter, Kay Fowler of Tryon, NC, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
