Hattie Mae Carr

Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Mae Carr will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 2 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC, with Pastor Grady Yonce officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 1, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carr, 76, of New Ellenton, SC, wife of Mr. J.D. Carr, died Sunday, night, May 30, 2004.

Born in and a resident of Elizabethton, TN, until 1960, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Sally A. Massengill Blevins. She was a homemaker and a member of Pineview Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband of fifty-eight years, sons, Steve Carr, Aiken, SC and Calvin Wayne Carr, New Ellenton, SC; brothers, Arthur, Reese, and James Blevins, all of Elizabethton, TN; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, survive. A daughter, Pamela Diane Carr, preceded her in death.
