Jack Fineberg

Funeral services for Mr. Jack Fineberg will be private and under the direction of George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken, SC. Mr. Fineberg, 78, of Aiken, died Monday December 16th, 2002 at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA.

The son of the late Sam & Beatrice Berkowitch Fineberg, he was born in Chicago IL and graduated from the University of Chicago in 1949. He served in the US Army Air Corps as a flight officer during W.W. II. He attended NYU Law School and became a partner in the New York City firm of Platzer, Fineberg & Swergold. Before moving to Aiken in November of 2000, he had been a resident of Hilton Head Island for 13 years. Prior to that he had lived in Mendham, NJ. He still maintained his membership at Sea Pines Country Club at Hilton Head.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Louise Payne Fineberg, Aiken, a step-daughter; Diane DiBenedetto, New York City, a brother; Edward Fineberg, of California and a sister; Evelyn Wynn, of California.
