Jack P. Woodward

Funeral services for Mr. Jack P. Woodward will be held at 11 AM Friday, January 14, 2005 at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC with Pastor Gary Youell, Pastor Chris Dean, & Mr. Thomas Delette Potts officiating. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Montmorenci, SC. Pallbearers will be John Thomas, Mitch Rezac, Houston Holley, Edward Egg, Ken Patterson, & Craig Bulkeley. Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Beck, Ray Fox, Danny Redd, Harry Kirkland, Marty Motes & Pierce Walker. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 13, 2005 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Woodward of Aiken, SC, died Tuesday, evening, January 11, 2005 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in and a lifelong Aiken County resident, he was a son of the late Joseph Earl and Lillian Plunkett Woodward. A World War II veteran, Mr. Woodward proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Kimberly Clark in 1986 as a Supervisor and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Montmorenci, SC.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Lorenz Smith Woodward, daughter, Mary Victoria Hardt, Robert Aiken, SC; sons, Steven P. Woodward, Jayne S. Columbia, SC, and Timothy E. Woodward, Carla M. Belvedere, SC; sister, Elizabeth Sofge, Frazier Aiken, SC; and five grandchildren.
