James Jim H. Hay

AIKEN, SC - James "Jim" Hattley Hay, age 74, entered into rest on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Charlie Norwood VA Hospital in Augusta, GA.

Jim was born January 22, 1942 in Aiken, SC to the late Stanley Nield Hay and the late Esther Eleanor Richardson Hay. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force as an Electronics Tech where he worked on B52 Bombers and in SAC Command. Jim was a life-long resident of Aiken, SC and member of Town Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and making clocks.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, William Alan Hay.

He is survived by a sister, Helen Hay Freiday (Donald), St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Stanley Nield Hay (Lucille), Aiken, SC; a sister-in-law, Shannon G. Hay, Aiken, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 10, 2016 in the George Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Davis Barton will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
