James J. Snavely

Graveside funeral services for Mr. James J. Snavely will take place on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 4pm at Southlawn Cemetery with Pastor Philip Lee officiating. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER is assisting the Snavely family.

Mr. Snavely, 77, of Aiken, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his residence.

A son of the late Emory and Edith Ryan Snavely, he was born in Bellville, OH where he had lived and had worked as a police officer, before moving to Aiken in 1974. He retired as a maintenance supervisor at Therm-O-Disc, Aiken in 1984. James was a member of Cedar Creek Church.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie; a brother, Jack Snavely and a daughter, Brenda Boone. He is survived by two sons, Scott A. Snavely and Charles E. Lynn Snavely, both of Aiken. He is also survived by five granddaughters, Laura Russell, Amanda Russell, Jennifer Russell, Andrea Snavely and Bailey Snavely.
