Jeannine Cecile Skertic

AIKEN, SC – Jeannine Cecile Skertic, age 91, wife of John Skertic, died at home peacefully on January 14, 2023.

Jeannine was born in Paris, France, November 14, 1931, to the late Joseph and Henrietta Pertin. Jeannine met John Skertic, a civil engineer, in North Africa in 1957. They were married shortly thereafter. A native of Paris, she spent her career as an esteemed High Fashion Designer, specializing in dress making. Jeannine also loved hosting tea-parties for her lady friends. She was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Aiken, SC.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2023, in The George Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
