Funeral Services for Jesse ?JD? Lane will take place Thursday afternoon at 2pm at George Funeral Homes Southside Chapel 3175 Whiskey Rd, Aiken at 2pm. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society 115 Greenville St. SW Aiken, SC 29801. Mr. Lane, 75, of Aiken, died Tuesday December 16th at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center. A son of the late Dewey Egbert and Mary Etta Crocker Lane, he was born in Nashville, TN and had lived in Ft. Meyers, FL before moving to Aiken in 1994. He was a retired engineer with Boyles Engineering, Tampa, FL. His wife, Helen Louise Lane died in 2000. He is survived step son and daughter in law William & Janet Brunson, Aiken, daughters Sheila and Belinda, stepson Charles E. Brunson, Aiken, stepson and daughter in law Gerald & Brenda Brunson, Colbert, GA, sisters, Shirley Wilde, Maggie Valley, NC, Dorothy Gardien, Citra, FL, Rosemary Savage, Palmetto, FL, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and his companion, Vernia Clark, Aiken.
