Jim Moates

Graveside services for Mr. James "Jim" Edwin Moates will be held at 10am on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice.

Mr. Moates, 87, of Aiken, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Greenwood, SC, he was a son of the late Bascom & Tina Gilliam Moates. Jim and his wife Mary, owned and operated The Gun Rack in Aiken for over 40 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Marsha Rodgers (Roger) of Aiken; grandchildren, Chad Saunders of Aiken, and Alan Rodgers of Westminister, Colorado.
