Jo Lenor Hall Bodie

Jo Lenor Hall Bodie, 87, entered into rest at her residence on December 28, 2022, after her long struggle with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Mrs. Bodie was born May 18, 1935 in Manning S.C. to the late Norwood Arthur Hall and Letitia Adams McLeod Hall.

She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother (Mema), and follower of Jesus Christ. She graduated from Aiken High School in 1954. She was a faithful member of Aiken First Baptist Church where she served in the nursery for many years. Her favorite past time was reading & studying the Bible. She loved spending time with family & friends, working in the yard and enjoyed making beautiful ceramics & crocheting afghans. She loved to give to others for the joy and happiness it brought to them.

Surviving family members include 4 children: Billie Jo Brown (William), William E Bodie, Jr (Kim), Norwood Andrew Bodie (Kristi) & Joseph Adam Bodie, & many grand & great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William “Bill” Bodie, who passed earlier this year.

The family would like to thank Regency Southern Care Hospice for all the care and kindness they provided for our mom during her illness. Also much thanks to our special friend, Brenda Plotts, for all of the help and care she provided to both Mom & Dad.

The Family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023, at George Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the George Funeral Chapel, with Mark Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Joshua Baggott, Zane Balbag, Nathan Bodie, Gabriel Bodie, Garrett Bodie, and Will Brown.
