Joan Ann Krebs

Joan Ann Reylea Krebs, 79, widow of John Henry Krebs, Jr., passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Agape Hospice House in Lexington, SC following a brief illness.

Born in Poukeepsie, New York on January 24, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Fred & Sarah Volf Reylea. She was a homemaker and was of the baptist faith. Joan's favorite thing was spending time with her family. She loved to drink coffee, and talk about things such as her early life in New York and Connecticut, politics, travel, history, and her family. She could find humor in most any situation. She also loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas, Biloxi, and Cherokee. She was an artist and enjoyed oil painting, a talent she seemed to inherit from her mother. Her husband of over 50 years, Jack, and her children were always her prioity. She loved and cared for her entire family and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by three daughters, Joann Hodges of Evans, GA, Susan Carpenter of Augusta, Ga & Karen Harley of North Augusta; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, John H. (Michele) Krebs, III of Clarks Hill, Robert (Lisa) Krebs of India & Chris (Stephanie) Krebs of Aiken; 3 sisters, Penny Guerchio of Hyde Park, NY, Renee Townsend of Millbrook, NY & Donna Maniscalco of Boston, MA; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by a sister, Claudette Hill.

Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00am at Hillview Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike McAplin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family requests that out of an abundance of caution due to the COVID19 Pandemic, social distancing and masks are required during the service. Thank you for your understanding.
