Memorial services for Mrs. Joan Lind will be held 1PM, Thursday, August 26, 2004 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Aiken, SC with Rev. Robert Snyder officiating.

Mrs. Joan Lind, 77, wife of Samuel C. Lind, Jr., died Monday, August 23, 2004 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Denver, CO, she was the daughter of the late Murl and Marie Broderick Meyer. She moved to Aiken 22 years ago from North Ridge, CA. Mrs. Lind was the second woman ever hired by Haynes Hosiery and was the top salesperson. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Aiken, SC. While attending the University of Colorado she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority and was an avid tennis player.

She is survived by her husband, son, Samuel Donna C. Lind, III, Simi Valley, CA, daughter, Deborah Larry Lind Kembell, Kansas City, KS, brother, Chuck Dixie Meyer, Denver, CO, sister, Sue Bob Meyer Murphy, Denver, CO, grandchildren, Eva Lind Bachtel, Courtney Lind, Cora Lind, and twins, Brent Lind and Sean Lind.
