Joey Boatwright Fox

AIKEN, SC—Joey Boatwright Fox, age 55, entered into rest on Sunday, February 18, 2018 after a brave fight with leukemia.

Joey was born July 28, 1962 in Aiken, SC to the late Thomas Lenward Fox and the late Sally B. Fox. He was a 1980 graduate of Aiken High School and a life-long area resident. Joey was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Johnston, SC where he served as President of the Church Council, member of the property committee, and LMM treasurer. He was always willing to help someone and enjoyed family get togethers, the beach and mountains, and any outdoor activities. Joey was an electrician by trade and was employed with Franks Electrical. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, son, brother, and friend.

In addition to his parents, Joey was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth J. Fox and Thomas A. Fox.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Lisa Fox; three brothers, Michael L. Fox (Martina), Chapin, SC, Steven R. Fox (Cheryl), and Keith B. Fox (Betsy), all of Aiken, SC; a sister-in-law, Debbie Fox; mother-in-law, Carole Smith, Aiken, SC; sister-in-law, Leigh Ann Williams (Kenneth), Trenton, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Friends may call on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at George Funeral Home in downtown Aiken.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
