A fountain of knowledge and ingenuity, John was always willing to lend a helping hand. A loving and devoted husband to his wife of 45 years, Cyndi, he always went out of his way to fix and make things better for those he cared about. They built their first house together at the age of 19 and continued to tackle life as a team, raising two daughters and creating a beautiful homestead in Ira New York. He graduated from Cato-Meridian High School as a part of the class of 1976. After high school, he served in the US Air Force, achieving E-5 rank during his four years of service. He and Cyndi were stationed in Panama City, Florida, and he enjoyed vacationing in the area in the years since his honorable discharge from the service. John was a builder, handyman and farrier by trade, he moved to Aiken with his family in 2016 to start a new adventure in Three Runs; working on the property, building a house, and making friends with the community. A Reiki Master, John projected healing energy and shared his love of gem stones with family and friends, he was also an active member of the community meditation group. John was master craftsman; he loved tools and making things with his hands, and he could repair almost anything. He loved music, especially Classic Rock, reading, baking and spending time with family and friends. He is dearly missed.

The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803) 649.6234 has charge of arrangements.
