John Jay Hatcher

A memorial service for Mr. John Jay Hatcher will be held Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 10 AM at the First English Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg, OH, with Pastor Eric Schwochow officiating. Interment will follow in the West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg, OH. Arrangements are under the direction of Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home, Gibsonburg, OH.

Jay, 24, of Aiken, SC, son of John Wayne and Kathy Bettenbrock Hatcher, died Tuesday, afternoon, March 9, 2004.

Born in Oregon, OH, he had been a resident of Aiken, SC, since 1991 where he graduated from South Aiken High School and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Jay was currently a senior at the University of Oklahoma.

In addition to his parents, sisters, Sara Hatcher, Aiken, SC, Anne Hatcher Sam, Joanne Hatcher, Jayne Hatcher Gerner, all of Freemont, OH, and Fawn Daniel, Goshen, IN, and paternal grandmother, Virginia Hatcher, Milan, OH, survive.

The family has requested that memorials in memory of Jay be made to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 384 Aiken, SC 29802-0384.
