John Lewis Stallings

Funeral services for Mr. Lewis John Stallings, Sr. will be held, Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at 3 PM at Green Pond with Revs. Roy L. Morgan, Frank Hyder, and Eddie Moyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Stallings Family Cemetery, Jackson, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 19, 2003 from 6-8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC.

Mr. Stallings, 57 , of Beech Island, SC, died Sunday, morning, August 17, 2003 at home.

Born in Aiken County, a son of the late Charlie and Lois Key Stallings, he had been a life long resident of the Jackson/Beech Island area where he was the former owner of Stallings Welding.

A son, John L. ?Jay? Stallings, and his wife, Ashley, daughter, Tammy Syms and her husband, Michael, brothers, Charles, Eddie, and Larry Stallings, and grandchildren, Brittany Syms and Trey Stallings, survive.

The family has requested that memorials be made to Green Pond Baptist Church c/o Building Fund, P.O. Box 91, Jackson, SC 29831 or the American Diabetes Association, 326 Greene St., Augusta, GA 30901.
