Johnny Edward Skipper, Sr.

Johnny Edward Skipper, Sr., 78, beloved husband of Vivian Louise Shell Skipper, died Monday, December 14, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta, GA following an illness.

A lifelong native of Aiken, SC, Mr. Skipper was the son of the late Samuel C. & Rosa Lee Davis Skipper. Mr. Skipper was a retired electrician and a member of the Salvation Army. Since childhood, Mr. Skipper along with his mother were avid supporters and volunteers with the Salvation Army. He was a devoted patriot to his country and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny Edward (Melody) Skipper, Jr. & Ronald Patrick (Sharon) Skipper both of Aiken; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna Lynn Skipper (Richard) Busch of Aiken; 10 grandchildren, David, John, Victoria, Patrick, Rick, Daniel, Christopher, Cory, Elizabeth & Emilee; & 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Skipper was pre-deceased by his first wife, Patricia Anne Skipper; a daughter, Angela Kay Skipper and brothers and sisters, Samuel, Louise, Sybil & Curtis.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 2:00p.m. in the Historic George Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. K. Scott Ayers officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
