Joseph Lahatte Parks

Mr. Parks, 86, a resident of Aiken South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2014.

A son of the late Edward Schley Parks and Ann LaHatte Parks, he was born in Miami, Florida and lived in Atlanta Georgia before moving to Aiken. Mr. Parks graduated from Atlanta Technical High School, and was a graduate of The University of Georgia, and The Atlanta Law School. He was an Army Veteran, and a retired Division Claim Superintendent with State Farm Insurance Company. Mr. Parks was also a past president of the DeKalb County Jaycees.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret A. Parks of Aiken, formerly of Atlanta GA, and a son Edward S Parks II of Aiken, also formerly of Atlanta GA.

Mr. Parks was predeceased by four Brothers; Edward S. Parks, Jr., Richard A Parks, and Charles "Buddy" Parks, and a Sister; Ann Henderson.
