Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce W. Taylor will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2004 at 2pm at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Taylor, 69, of Aiken, died Tuesday,

February 10, 2002 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Aiken, she was the daughter of the late L.G. & Louise Toole Whittle. She was a retired teacher?s aid for Lexington County School System and a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Church. Before moving back to Aiken two years ago, she had lived in Batesburg, SC for twenty years. Mrs. Taylor was pre-deceased by an infant daughter, Sharon Taylor. She is survived by three sons, Whitt Taylor, Aiken, L. Glenn Taylor and his wife, Stacy, Aiken, Thomas Ray Taylor Jr. and his wife, Beth, Batesburg; a daughter, Joyce Lynn Snelgrove and her husband, David, Aiken and six grandchildren. There will be no calling hours at the George Funeral Homes Historic District Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. The family will receive friends at the residence Wednesday evening from six to seven. Memorial donations may be directed to Batesburg-Leesville Athletic Dept.
