Julia George Herndon

Funeral services for Julia George Herndon will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11am at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Dr. Rev. Fred Andrea officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Herndon, 85, of Aiken, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at her residence.

A daughter of the late James George and Susie Dove George, she was born in Carroll County, TN and had lived in Aiken for over thirty five years.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Suzanne Messick and her first husband, Clifford Cobb.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Herndon, Aiken; a son, Terry Michael Cobb, Columbia, SC; a half sister, Virginia Stevens, New Orleans, LA; a grandson, Clifford Heidi Dyches, and a great granddaughter, Alice Rose Dyches.
