Karen Susan Kelly

Ms. Karen Susan Kelly, 60, of Aiken, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at home after an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken.

Born in Monroe, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Loretta Leibold Kelly. She was a graduate of Clemson University with a masters of Engineering. She last worked at the Savannah River Site for 21 years as a Project Engineer.

Ms. Kelly was a lover of animals, especially horses and dogs. She volunteered with the girl scouts and was the treasurer for the Board of Directors for many years. She also volunteered with many equestrian events in the local area. Ms. Kelley was preceded in death by her twin brother, Keving Kelly.

Survivors include her sister, Kathy Shivers Bryan; her brother, Ken Kelly Lucy; and her sister-in-law, Rose Kelly; and her nieces and nephews, Patti Kelly, Patrick Kelly, Kristine Deason, Pam Earls, Stephanie Shivers, Matthew Kelly and Amanda Knight; and many wonderful friends who were with her thru her illness.
