Leonard Alva Powell, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the age of 61.
Leonard was born on Thursday, April 4, 1963, in Aiken, SC, where he first embarked on his life's journey.
Leonard was a dedicated construction worker employed by Handi House of Aiken, where he was respected by colleagues and known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Beyond his professional life, Leonard was an avid NASCAR fan, known for his passion for the sport and his unwavering support of his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt.
Leonard is survived by his loving son, David Brent Powell of Trenton, and his two adored granddaughters, Aaliyah Powell and Rosalynn Powell. He is also survived by his brother, David Powell, and his devoted companion of 20 years, Judie Hinson. Leonard’s family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva David Powell and Ina Mae Powell, as well as his brother, Jimmy Powell, and sisters, Patricia Powell and Laura Carley. Leonard's legacy of warmth and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
