Louise Douglas Hobbs

December 14, 1922 — August 22, 2002

Mrs. Louise Douglas Hobbs, 79, of Windsor died Thursday, August 22, 2002 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral Services will be held 4pm Sunday, August 25, 2002 at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel with Pastor Bruce Fox officiating. Burial will be held Tuesday August 27, 2002 at Middle Tennessee State Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday form 6-8pm at the funeral home or the home of Elaine Murphy. Mrs. Hobbs is a native of Aiken County; she was a Doctors Assistant at the Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN and attended South Aiken Church of God. She was the daughter to the late Johnnie and Bertha Mae Douglas and also predeceased by her husband Albert Hobbs, brother; Horace Douglas, sister; Ora Lee Mathews, and niece, Shirley Widner. Survivors include her sister, Margaret Goldman, Aiken, nieces and nephews; Shelba Cooper, Windsor, Peggy Doolittle, Aiken, Faye Hudson, Aiken, Deborah McKay, Monetta, Elaine Murphy, Aiken, Don Goldman and Jerry Goldman both of Windsor, Buddy Mathews and Carrol Mathews both of Aiken, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. The family wishes that memorial contributions be made to South Aiken Church of God Building Fund, 2700 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
