Lula G. Pless

Mrs. Lula G. Pless, 80 wife of the late James H. Pless, died Friday, May 16, 2003 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held 2PM Monday, May 19, 2003 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening form 7-9 at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Pless was born in Cedar Bluff, VA to Mat and Virgie Gibson. She lived in Canton, NC until moving to Aiken in 1952. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Womens Circle. Survivors include her sons, James H. Pless, Jr. New Ellenton, SC, John W. Pless, Glendale, AZ, daughter, Elaine Mills, New Ellenton, SC, brothers, Jerry Gibson, ?Cotton? Clarence Gibson, both of Rogersville, TN, sister, Elizabeth Walker, Rogersville, TN, sister-in-laws, Mrs. WE Pless, New Ellenton, SC, Mrs. Lewis Pless, Canton, NC, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her spirited sisters; Mildred Akins, Lois Odgen, Polly Alexander, and Jenny Rogers.

The family wishes that memorial be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 600 Main St, SW, New Ellenton, SC.
