Luther Dock Barnes

Funeral Services for Mr. Luther Dock Barnes, Sr. will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at 10am at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel with Rev. Charlie Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be this evening at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken.

Mr. Barnes, 58, of Aiken, died Thursday at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was born in Hartwell, GA and had lived in Aiken most of his life. He was a son of the late James P. and Molly Carter Barnes.

He was a self-employed, over the road truck driver.

A son, Timothy Rock Barnes, predeceases him.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia McFee Barnes, Aiken; a son, Luther Dock Barnes, Jr. and his wife, Sherry, Aiken; a daughter in law, Rennie Barnes, Aiken; three grandchildren, Rock Barnes, Jr., Samantha Nicole Barnes and Sarah Danielle Barnes; four sisters, Paulette Huley, North Augusta, Dottie Fox, Aiken, Jennifer Barnes and Angela Barnes, and his step-mother, Jean Barnes, Aiken.
