Madison Truitt Canady

Memorial services for Madison "Matt" Truitt Canady, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Cedar Creek Church, Banks Mill Chapel, 3001 Banks Mill Road, Aiken, SC, 29803. Officiating will be Pastor Wes Holbrook. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lake Murray Baptist Church, India Missions, 931 Hwy. 378 West, Lexington, SC 29072.

Mr. Canady, 71, of Lexington, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016. Born in Summerville, he was a son of the late O.T. Canady and Vera Riggs Kinney. Mr. Canady was a Master Horticulturalist, he loved to play golf, go hunting and fishing. He was an avid Carolina Gamecock Fan and a Master Metal Artist. Mr. Canady was preceded in death by a son, Doug Canady.

Survivors include his sons, Donnie Canady (Kelly) and Brent Canady all of Aiken and their mother, Jan Canady; his beloved partner, Jo McRae of Lexington and her children, Bruce Stanley and his fiancé, Michelle of Lexington and Michelle Kilgore (Raymond) of Columbia; a brother, John V. Canady, Sr., of Virginia and 4 grandchildren, Casey, Matthew, Savannah and Caroline Canady.
