Margaret Quirk Hatcher

Funeral services for Margaret Quirk Hatcher, 63, of Aiken will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Howard, III. Burial will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tyler Morse, Jake Morse, Chris Wise, Gene Garland, Murtis Benton, Lee Benton, Stephanie Holsonback and Aaron Smoak. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hatcher, widow of Jerry Hatcher, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013. Born in Aiken, she was a daughter of Ruth Garland Quirk and the late James John Quirk. She was a lifetime area resident and was a licensed cosmetologist. Mrs. Hatcher loved fishing and her younger years enjoyed playing softball.

Surviving are her mother, Ruth Garland Quirk of Warrenville; daughters, Gwin Morse (Larry) of Aiken and Natasha Wise of Atlanta; sisters, Judy Quirk Brown of Edgefield, Catherine Quirk Burkhalter (Jack) of Aiken and Sue Quirk Smoak (Andy) of Gloverville; grandchildren, Tyler Morse, Jacob Morse and Zachary Wise; 5 nieces and 1 nephew and 8 great-nieces and nephews.
