Maria Miranda

Maria Miranda, a beloved resident of Trenton, SC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9th, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on Friday, May 14th, 1954, Maria was a cherished wife, mother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers and loved her pets as well. Also she loved to cook for her family gatherings and celebrations.

Maria is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Alejandro Miranda; her loving daughter, Yannet Miranda of Saluda, SC, and her four cherished sons: Antonio Miranda and Cesar Miranda, both of Chicago, IL; Alejandro Miranda, Jr. of Trenton, SC; and Oscar Miranda of North Augusta, SC. She is also survived by her seven brothers, Vincente, Fernando, Ernesto, Misael, Ramiro, Hugo, and Jorge Salgado, and two sisters, Celia Salgado and Patricia Mastache.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Salgado Villalovos and Gudelia Uriostegui Rivera, her brother Francisco Salgado, and her two sisters, Ma Carmen Salgado and Argelia Salgado.

A devoted homemaker, Maria dedicated her life to her family, filling their home with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Her legacy of warmth, humility, and kindness will continue to resonate through the generations she leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Aiken, SC, on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. There will also be a Rosary held at the funeral home during the Visitation from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 138 Fairfield St SE, Aiken, SC 29801 on Friday, January 17th, 2025, at 11:00am with The Very Rev. Father Richard Wilson as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Miranda Family Cemetery.

Maria Miranda, una querida residente de Trenton, Carolina del Sur, falleció pacíficamente el jueves 9 de enero de 2025 a la edad de 70 años. Nacida el viernes 14 de mayo de 1954, María fue una querida esposa, madre, hermana y amiga, cuya calidez y bondad tocaron la vida de todos los que la conocieron. Era una ávida jardinera, amaba las flores y también amaba a sus mascotas. Además, le encantaba cocinar para sus reuniones familiares y celebraciones.

A María le sobreviven su devoto esposo de 50 años, Alejandro Miranda; su amada hija, Yannet Miranda de Saluda, Carolina del Sur, y sus cuatro queridos hijos: Antonio Miranda y César Miranda, ambos de Chicago, Illinois; Alejandro Miranda, Jr. de Trenton, Carolina del Sur; y Oscar Miranda de North Augusta, Carolina del Sur. También le sobreviven sus siete hermanos, Vincente, Fernando, Ernesto, Misael, Ramiro, Hugo y Jorge Salgado, y dos hermanas, Celia Salgado y Patricia Mastache.

A María le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Francisco Salgado Villalovos y Gudelia Uriostegui Rivera, su hermano Francisco Salgado y sus dos hermanas, Ma Carmen Salgado y Argelia Salgado.

Una ama de casa devota, María dedicó su vida a su familia, llenando su hogar de amor, risas e innumerables recuerdos preciados. Su legado de calidez, humildad y bondad seguirá resonando a través de las generaciones que deja atrás.

Se invita a familiares y amigos a asistir al velorio en The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center en Aiken, Carolina del Sur, el jueves 16 de enero de 2025, de 5:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. También se llevará a cabo un Rosario en la funeraria durante el velorio de 6:00 p.m. a 6:30 p.m.

Se llevará a cabo una Misa Fúnebre en la Iglesia Católica de Santa María Auxiliadora, 138 Fairfield St SE, Aiken, SC 29801 el viernes 17 de enero de 2025 a las 11:00 a.m. con el Muy Reverendo Padre Richard Wilson como celebrante. El entierro seguirá en el Cementerio de la Familia Miranda.
