Maria Schuster Zwileneff

AIKEN, SC- Mrs. Maria Schuster Zwileneff, age 95 , passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in the comfort of her home.

Maria was born March 24, 1920 in Schifferstadt, Germany to the late Michael and Magdelena Külbs Schuster. She was a resident of Queens, NY for thirty five years before making Aiken, SC her home in 2004. Maria was of the Roman Catholic faith and was an avid gardener. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Zwileneff; a grandson, Michael Vakula; and five brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Monika Podesta (Joseph), Aiken, SC; a son, Nicholas Zwileneff (Louise), Fredericksburg, VA; two grandchildren, Christian Zwileneff (Laura) and Nicole Yracheta (Jonas); and two great-grandchildren, Brielle and Malina Zwileneff; five step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and a beloved Jack Russell, Bonnie.

A private family burial will be held at Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
