Marianne Ulrich

AIKEN, SC - Marianne Ulrich, age 85, entered into rest on Monday, December 12, 2016.

Marianne was born in Rheine, Western Germany on October 14, 1931 to the late Herman and Anni Rathert. She immigrated to the United States in 1956. She had made Aiken, SC her home since January of 2002, having previously lived in New Jersey. Marinne was of the protestant faith and was an avid Gardner, enjoyed the theater, and was a wonderful sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2006, George Ulrich and a sister, Luise Rathert.

She is survived by her twin sister, Hannelore J. Rathert, of Aiken, SC; an additional sister, Anni Braband (Karlheinz); two brothers, Wilhelm Rathert and Ernst- August Rathert (Helga); and extended family members, Anny Strutz, Bill and Karen Donahue, and Joe and Tamara Sasala.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

The funeral ceremony will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2016 in the George Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service.
