Marjorie Carol Smith

Memorial services for Marjorie Carol Smith, 76, of N. Augusta, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. Officiating will be Pastor Jason Peterson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Smith, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late Frederick James and Ruby Bell Brown Nicole. Mrs. Smith was a member of Community Lutheran Church. She retired from Zurich Insurance. In her spare time, she enjoyed making quilts for the Lutheran Aid Relief, crafting, sewing and cross stitching. She was also known to be a better shot with a pistol than her husband Greg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Mills; a brother-in-law, Dr. James Lindsey and two granddaughters, Caroline Grace Granger and Stephanie Nicole Granger.

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Greg Smith, Sr., of N. Augusta; a daughter, Colette Smith Granger (David) of Beech Island; a son, Greg Smith, Jr., (Tracy) of Kernersville, NC; a sister, Beverly Lindsey of Tullahoma, TN; grandchildren, David Granger (Whitney) of N. Augusta, Alyssa Hunt (Aaron) of Charlotte, Michigan, Timothy, Matthew, Benjamin and Makayla Granger all of Beech Island; 3 great-grandchildren and 5 Golden Retreiver Puppies.
