Funeral Services for Mrs. Martha Katherine Finger Fitzgerald will be held later this week in Waynesboro, VA. Local arrangements are under the direction of George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Memorial donations may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church 300 S. Wayne Ave. Waynesboro, VA 22980. Mrs. Fitzgerald, 92, of Aiken, died Sunday at the Trinity Lutheran Home, Aiken. She was born in Buffalo, NY and moved to Waynesboro, VA in1928, where she lived until moving to Aiken in 1998.

She was a homemaker, but also worked as a nanny and private nurse for Several DuPont executives in Waynesboro. She was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Waynesboro. Her husband, E. Russell Fitzgerald, died in 1978. She is survived by her daughter and son in law; Jean & Dick Cook, Aiken, two grandsons; Russell F. Cook, Newport News, VA and Robert M. Cook, II, Leesville, SC, two great grand daughters and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by a number of devoted nieces, nephews and friends.
