Marvin Dwight Tucker'' Davis

Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Dwight Davis, affectionately known as ?Tucker? by his

many friends, will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at 11 AM at Langley

Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Reverend Charles Gene Brown and Mr. Dwight Byrd

officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert S. Rodgers, Todd Collum, Wyman Rodgers, John

Sanders, Tim Leftwich, and Randy Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of

International Paper. Interment will follow in Graniteville Cemetery, Graniteville, SC. Mr.

Davis will be placed in the church at 10 AM on Wednesday. Friends may call at the

residence and the family will receive friends Tuesday, January 28, 2003 from 6-8 PM at

George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mr.

Davis, 58, of Graniteville, SC, husband of Mrs. Brenda Steele Davis, died Sunday,

morning, January 26, 2003 at Select Specialty Hospital, Augusta, GA.

Born in Aiken, SC, a son of the late Vernon and Velma Bussell Davis, he was a lifelong

resident of Graniteville, SC. He was a 1963 graduate of Graniteville High School,

Graniteville, SC and was a member of Warrenville First Baptist Church. At the time of

his death, he had been employed at International Paper for twenty-six years. Marvin was

a devoted family man and enjoyed helping others. Family and friends always came first.

Marvin was an avid fisherman and could repair anything.

In addition to his wife of thirty-six years, Brenda Steele Davis, daughters, Jennifer Davis

Still and her husband, Derik, North Augusta, SC and Neeli Davis Byrd, and her husband

David, Lexington, SC; sister, Sarah Baker, and her husband, Lad, Graniteville, SC; loving

friends, Sam Kirkendohl and Kim Woodward, Johnston, SC; and several nieces and

nephews, survive.

The family has requested that memorials in Marvin?s memory be made to the American

Heart Association, 1003 Hammond Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
