Marvin Ray Densmore

Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Ray Densmore will be held today Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 3 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC, with Pastor David Lester officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends today from 1 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Densmore, 73, of New Ellenton, SC, died Tuesday, night, January 4, 2005 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Arley, AL, he was a son of the late William Arthur and Ada Dodd Densmore. Mr. Densmore came to New Ellenton, SC in 1953 with the E.I. DuPont Company where he retired after twenty-five years of service. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and water skiing until his health failed.

He is survived by a son, Wayne Densmore, New Ellenton, SC; sisters, Glenda Clatterbuck, Atlanta, GA and Agnes Craven, Cullman, AL; brothers, Hershel L. Densmore, Arley, AL and William V. ?Shorty? Densmore, Greenpond, AL; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, his wife of forty-three years, Martha Lou Cobb Densmore, preceded him in death in 2003.
