Marvin Rifkin

Graveside services for Mr. Marvin Rifkin, 86, of Augusta, GA, will be held 12 PM Monday, November 12, 2012, at Sons of Israel Cemetery, Aiken. Following the service a reception will be held at the Adas Yeshurun Temple, Aiken, SC. Mr. Rifkin died Friday, November 9, 2012, following an illness. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 211 Park Ave., SW., Aiken, is assisting the family.

Born in Chicago, he was a son of the late Louis & Ester Feldman Rifkin. Moving to Augusta in 1973, Mr. Rifkin retired from National Southern Corporation of Aiken. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He was an active supporter of Ft. Gordon's international soldiers. He was a devoted husband, a good father to his daughters and a loyal brother. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Korn Rifkin; a brother, Harry Rifkin of Chicago and sister, Sara R. Berger of Aiken.

He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Rifkin of Augusta and Laura Rifkin of Marietta, Georgia.
