Funeral services for Mrs. Mary ?Etta? Church will take place on Monday, September 5, 2011 at 11am at Aiken?s First Baptist Church with Rev. Amy R. Stertz officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 6-8pm at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken. Memorial donations may be directed to the Aiken?s First Baptist Church General Fund, 120 Chesterfield St. NE, Aiken, SC 29801.

Mrs Church, 87, of Aiken, died Friday, September 2, 2011 at her residence.

Born in North Wilkesboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late David Alfred Frazier and Ella Garnet Church Frazier. Etta had been a resident of Aiken since 1960 and had been a long time member of Aiken?s First Baptist Church. She volunteered on behalf of several charities, The March of Dimes being her favorite.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Triplett.

Etta is survived by her husband of almost sixty seven years, William Cears ?Bill? Church, Aiken; a daughter, Virginia Diane Tim Hopper, Aiken; a son, William Dennis Church, Aiken; five sisters, Gladys Burchette, Winston-Salem, NC, Cleo Collins, Winston Salem, NC, Roxie Church, Millers Creek, NC, Marie Donnell, Lenior, NC and Goldie Goulds, Lenior, NC and a brother, Marvin Frazier, Purlear, NC.
