Memorial services for Mary Ann Phillips Ferguson will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 11am at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken. Interment will be private. Mrs. Ferguson, 79, of Aiken, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Pepper Hill Nursing Home.

Born in Charlotte, NC she was the daughter of the late Mack Spencer Phillips and Mary Stelling Phillips. She attended the University of South Carolina and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Mary Ann loved her family, music and canoeing the Edisto River. She retired from SC Dept. of Health and Environmental Control.

She is survived by her sons, Spencer P. Janice Allen, Blythewood: Ira H. "Herb" Gail Ferguson, III, New Ellenton; Robert S. "Bob" Eirene Ferguson, William J. "Bill" Patsy Ferguson, both of Aiken; daughter, Betty Ann "BeeGee" Paradise, Richland, WA, sister Judy Wolbert-Frye, Charlotte, NC; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
