Mary Joan Silverberg

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Joan Silverberg will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 25, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC.

Mrs. Silverberg, 69, of Aiken, SC, wife of Mr. Eric Silverberg, died Sunday, morning, May 23, 2004 at her home.

Born in San Francisco, CA, a daughter of the late Otto and Billie Marie Clark Sand, she lived most of her life in College Park, GA. She had been a resident of Aiken, SC, for the past twenty-seven years, where she was very active in the Aiken Community Playhouse and where she held numerous offices and participated both back stage and on stage in multiple productions, prior to her declining health. She was a dedicated and devoted military wife and mother.

In addition to her husband Eric of fifty-one years, a son, Jon Dana Silverberg, and his wife Janice Wilkins, daughters, Erica Ann Ange and Sandra Lee Wharton, all of Aiken, SC; and grandchildren, Billie Marissa Ange, Joshua Eric Wharton, Christopher Lee Wharton, Katherine Elizabeth Ange, and Rusty Glenn Ange, survive.
