Maureen A. Dean

Mrs. Maureen A. Dean, 78, of Aiken, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, 6-8pm at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Final funeral arrangements will take place in Troy, NY and will be announced.

Maureen was a member of the American Association of University Women, the Aiken Bridge Club, Gourmet Club and the Hounds Lake Country Club.

She is survived by her husband of forty nine years, Thomas N. Dean, Aiken; a daughter, Ms. Kyle M. Vaaler, Lakeville, MN; a son, Mr. Thomas F. Mary Catherine Dean, Katy, TX; a sister, Mrs. Helen Breen, Troy, NY and a brother, Mr. Gerald FitzGerald, Plymouth Meeting, PA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Ellen Vaaler, Allison Vaaler, Kevin Dean and Thomas Dean.
