Maureen Evelyn Huet

A memorial service for Mrs. Maureen Evelyn Huet will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 3PM at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center 211 Park Ave SW Aiken with Mr. Ed Thurmond presiding.

Mrs. Huet, 64 of Williston, died Friday at the Aiken Regional Medical Centers after a long battle with cancer.

Mrs. Huet was born in Monroeville, PA daughter of the late Leroy Ross Woods and Elizabeth D. Miller Woods. Maureen graduated from Gateway High School, Monroeville in 1960. Mrs. Huet moved to this area and worked as a counselor with the University of Augusta. She was very active with fundraising for the Savannah River Area Cancer Society, as well as the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Huet was predeceased by her brother Robert Woods.

Mrs. Huet is survived by her husband Terry Huet, her mother Elizabeth Woods, Bradenton, FL, five children; Thomas L. Cynthia McCloskey, Seattle, WA, Michelle Gary Kohler, Seattle, WA, Gidget M. Delgadillo, Williston, SC, Leif R. Johansen, Williston, SC, Shawn K. Huet, Williston, SC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and her sister-in-law Renee Woods of Sarasota, Fl.
