Melissa Diane Woodward

Memorial services for Melissa Diane Woodward, 37, of Windsor, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.

Born in Wautoma, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of Pauline Lawhead and the late Kenneth Shambaugh. Melissa was an employee of Waffle House with over 20 years of service. She was a loving mother, daughter and sister. Her proudest accomplishment was her daughter Piper. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Heather "Mandy" Shellman and her maternal grandmothers, Luedell Fogarty and Elaine Lawhead.

Survivors include her mother and daddy Pauline and Tom Lawhead of Windsor; a daughter, Piper Woodward of Windsor and Piper's father Gareth Woodward of Aiken; sisters, Kristina Richardson (Dewayne) of Ocilla, Georgia, Bobbie Shambaugh (Tony Fried) of Cartersville, Georgia, Stevi Lynn Belanger (Ben) of Centersville, Georgia and Vickie Shambaugh of Sylvester, Georgia; 8 nephews and 10 nieces.
