Michael C. Jones

A memorial service for Mr. Michael C. Jones will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 10am at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church. Interment will be private. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Michael Jones Memorial Fund at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, 125 Pendleton St, SW, Aiken, SC, 29801.

Mr. Jones, 69, of Aiken, SC died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Mary Ankrom Jones. He lived in Southport, NC and various cities before moving to Aiken in 2007. Michael was a member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church and the Reserve Club. He graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelors of Science degree. He retired from as a photoproducts sales manager with DuPont. Michael was an avid golfer and collector. He enjoyed traveling, life and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Tamara Harrah Jones, sons, Brian Adrienne Jones, Albuquerque, NM; Michael E. Pam Jones, Cornelius, NC, sister Beverly Thompson, Southport, NC; grandchildren, Spencer Jones, Carter Jones, Murphy Jones, Brady Jones, step grandchildren, Jacob Reagan, Abbie Reagan.
