Michael J. Fusco

A Requiem Mass for Mr. Michael J. Fusco will be celebrated at 1pm on Monday, January 23, 2012 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken. Entombment will be at 3:30 PM on Monday at Bamberg County Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Sunday, 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Seminarian Fund at the Knights of Columbus, Assembly #1074, 1003 Spaulding Drive, Aiken, SC 29803.

Mr. Fusco, 90, of Aiken, died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Veterans Victory House, Walterboro, SC.

A son of the late John Fusco and Marionianna Fusco, he was born in the Bronx, NY. He was a US Army Veteran and loved to cook and play cards with his grandchildren. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Candida O. Fusco.

He is survived by his daughter, Marion Engel and her husband JJ, of Aiken; son, Ron Fusco and his wife, Nancy, of Windsor grandchildren, Michelle Engel and John Michael Engel, great grandson, Jason Weeks, a sister, Angie Fusco, of Bronx, NY, and several nieces and nephews.

His family wants to acknowledge the heartfelt, farewell procession, honoring his service, as he left the VA Victory House.
