Michael Lehrhaupt

Graveside services for Michael Lehrhaupt, 78, of Aiken, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Southlawn Cemetery, under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Golden Harvest Food Bank.

Mr. Lehrhaupt, a devoted husband to Karen Lehrhaupt, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at his residence following an illness. Born in Staten Island, NY, he was a son of the late Hardy and Rose Spiegel Lehrhaupt. After retiring from his work as a pharmacist in New Jersey, Mr. Lehrhaupt moved to Aiken and made it his home for the past 18 years. He loved playing golf, loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his wife and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Lehrhaupt.

Surviving are his loving wife Karen; daughters, Gwen Murphy (David) of Westchester, PA, Lisa Howard (Orion) of Williamstown, MA and Nancy Bogaenko (David) of St. Cloud, Florida; a son, David Laurence, of Brussels, Belgium and 5 grandchildren, Andrew, Noah, Molly, Sam and Jessie.
