Ora Elva Garrett Powers

Funeral services for Mrs. Ora Elva Garrett Powers will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at 2:00 PM from the graveside in Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Manuel de Jesus Velda officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Mrs. Powers, 86, of Aiken, SC, wife of sixty-seven years to Mr. Losson A. Powers, who died July 15, 2004, died Saturday, morning, July 31, 2004.

Born in Bay City, IL, a daughter of the late Theodore Manuel and Clyde Palmer Garrett, she had been a resident of Zephyrhills, FL, prior to relocating to Aiken, SC, in June of 2004. She was a homemaker and was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.

A daughter, Diane and her husband, Dennis Scherer, Aiken, SC; son, Jack and his wife Carol Powers, Lansing, MI; sister, Hilda Ellis, Zephyrhills, FL; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, survive.

The family has requested that memorials in memory of Mrs. Powers be made to Regency Hospice, 105 Summerwood Way, Aiken, SC 29803
