Patricia Ann Barnes

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Barnes, 62, of Aiken, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER. Officiating will be Rev. Bruce Fox. Burial will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Danny Woodward, Johnny Woodward, Travis Tullis, Sherman Carpenter, Ermon Carpenter and Joe Marlowe.

Mrs. Barnes, widow of Luther Dock Barnes, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013. Born in Batesburg, she was a daughter of the late James & Joenita Parrish McFee. She was a lifetime area resident and was retired from Aiken County Schools. Mrs. Barnes enjoyed reading, sitting on her front porch her grandchildren and the ocean. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Rock Barnes and a sister, Shelby Young.

Survivors include: her son, Luther Dock Barnes, Jr. (Candy) of Aiken; sisters, Diane Youngblood of Aiken and Debra Anderson (Fred) of Lakeland, Florida; a brother, Edward McFee (Melanie) of Aiken; 3 grandchildren, Timothy Barnes, Cameron Marlowe and Jacob Jordan and a daughter-in-law, Rennie Smith of Aiken.
