Phillip Jay Osbon

Funeral services for Mr. Phillip Jay Osbon will be held Thursday, August 14, 2003 at 11 AM South Aiken Church of God, with Pastor Bruce C. Fox and Pastor Kenny Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Aiken, SC. Phillip will be placed in the church at 10 on Thursday. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 13, 2003 from 6-8 PM George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC.

Phillip, 20, of Aiken, SC, son of Jan Lockhart Byrd, Aiken, SC, and Danny Jay Osbon, Aiken, SC, died Monday, night, August 11, 2003 in Aiken, SC.

Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken, SC, Phillip was a student and was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church. Phillip was a genuine and caring person with a big heart and enjoyed working on cars.

In addition to his parents, sisters, Holly Rebecca Osbon and Catherine Blanche Byrd, Aiken, SC; grandmothers, Mary Alice Lockhart and Martha Osbon, Aiken, SC; uncles, Donnie Ray Moseley, Jack Osbon, and Everett Osbon, Aiken, SC and Matt Lockhart, Atlanta, GA; and aunts, Ann Duke and Cindy Carrigan, Aiken, SC and Lynne Lemmons, Memphis, TN, survive. His grandfathers, Dr. Malcolm Dallas Lockhart and Arthur Jack Osbon, preceded Phillip in death.

The family has requested that memorials in memory of Philip be made to the S.P.C.A., 401 Wire Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
