Phyllis Clifton

Funeral services for Phyllis Clifton, 77, of New Ellenton, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Worship Center, under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Clifton passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Jewell Ridge, VA, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Nora Chafin Jessee. Mrs. Clifton was a long time member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was retired from Savannah River Site. She was preceded in death by her son Victor Clifton, a sister, Beulah Nester, a brother, Bill Jessee and a brother-in-law, Bert Edwards.

Survivors include: sisters, Gwen Cooke Dwayne and Eleanor Edwards, all of Bristol, VA; a brother, Dave Jessee Betty of Richlands, VA; a brother-in-law, Marvin Nester of Lakeland, Florida; a sister-in-law, Pat Jessee of Daytona Beach, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
