Phyllis Granger

BEECH ISLAND, SC - Phyllis Lorraine Newton Granger, 85, entered into rest on October 8, 2017.

Phyllis was a devoted mother, wife, friend, CNA & church member. To know her was to love her. Her faith and family were most important in her life. Before moving to SC, she lived in Vero Beach, FL where she was a member of Kings Baptist Church. She loved her Joy Group and enjoyed serving as a faithful greeter and comforter to homebound seniors.

She was born in Jersey City, NJ and married her true love, Walter J. Granger in 1951. Together they were blessed with three children. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her much joy.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Walter J. Granger Jr., Ft. Meyers FL, Lori Ann and husband Jimmy Graham, Lovell, WY, and David H. Granger and wife Colette S. of Aiken, SC. Her grandchildren David Brandon Granger (Whitney), Alyssa Nicole Hunt (Aaron), Timothy James, Matthew John, Benjamin Caleb, and Makayla Faith, Brandy Paige, and Cathy. Great-grandchildren, Carter Mason, Haulstan Martin and Bella Skye-Marie brought her such joy. She will be dearly missed.

Memorial services will be held at Town Creek Baptist Church, 250 Town Creek Rd., Aiken, SC 29803 Thursday October 12th at 11:00 AM.

Memorials can be sent to Town Creek Christian Academy. Flowers must be delivered to Town Creek Baptist Church on Thursday.
