Robert Bob Patchan

AIKEN, SC- Robert "Bob" Patchan of Aiken, SC, age 54, was called to heaven by his Creator on Sunday, November 29, 2015 after a year-long, courageous battle with esophageal cancer.

Born in Prince Georges County, Md., Bob was predeceased by his mother and father, Johanna and Matthew Patchan. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 30 years, Tracy Harman Patchan and their daughter, Agatha Ruth, and son, Seth; his brother Bryan Patchan, and sisters Elaine Parry (Francis) and Janet Melvin (Randall); nephews Adam and Nathan Parry, Justin and Ryan Melvin; and grandnephews Leyton and Eli Parry. He also is survived by his mother and father-in-law, Beth and Tommy Harman, their son Troy, and "Aunt" Connie Santee; as well as special friends Rob Sutton, Lynn Blevins and Erin and Charles Rappold. Bob was employed for 24 years by Bowles Construction of Augusta, Ga., as a carpenter and later as project manager.

A prayer vigil for Bob will be held at 6:30 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2015 with visitation following until 8:00 PM at the Historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave., Aiken, SC 29801. (803.649.6234).
